To my knowledge, it is illegal.
ReplyDeleteAs far as i know, it is fine to stamp and share, but only with rubber/clear stamps, not digi's, those are protected by their Angel policies.
ReplyDeletelotsa luv
Sally as far as I know it's illegal as you are basically giving someone the image with out them paying for it but we all know it's done don't we so it's a very grey area

I think it's legal, cause you don't sell it and you don't make any profit out of it. It's for personal use only. But I'm not a lawyer... so i'm not 100% sure.
ReplyDeleteI thought it is not illegal... because you are not selling nor making profit and they are no digis.
ReplyDeleteI saw many candies with images and never heard as this was illegal.
I thought that as long as you are not making profit of it or sell it as your own it is legal. You are not allowed to send around digi's, but if you do one image a stamp to give away I don't think people mind. But then I am not a lawyer, so I am not sure. Good luck with whatever the outcome is.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally,TY
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine who has her own craft website (and is VERY hot on stuff like this!) looked into it/asked the designers if this would be ok (we wanted to do a swap of stamped images between a few friends) but they catagorically said NO....it IS ILLEGAL, even if you aren't selling them.
Hugs, Ali x
I think as long as you don't sell them, it's legal. You are giving them away as a gift so it's legal. Except for digits, you are not allowed to do it. Well that's what i know.

Hi Hon-
ReplyDeleteHere is a place that fought it out before.

I do believe it is definitely unethical, and considered against the policy of the manufacturer and or artist.
ReplyDeleteGiving the stamp itself away is fine as you paid for that, or won it. To make imprints of it as a prize or to sell them are both wrong and against most angel policies.
Even though you are not making a profit from it, the artist and or manufacturer is not getting paid for it either so it is wrong.
